Itinerary
Guided walking tour in English and Spanish (the tour guide speaks also Portuguese) to the Iguassu Falls Brazil plus boat ride and jungle tour in the Iguassu National Park in Brazil.
From Brazil, one has a beautiful panoramic view of the Iguassu Falls. It is a one mile long paved trail leading to several lookouts. After walking on the trail for some minutes, one will have the first glance at the biggest waterfall, devils throat. Along the way, there is a chance to spot coati, agouti, lizards, birds and butterflies. At a certain point, one walks on the bridge over the Iguassu River and sees lots of waterfalls and rainbows. At the end of the trail, there is a tower with a spectacular view. There is a lift (elevator) to take elder people to the top of the tower.
After visiting the falls, one will join the Macuco Boat ride. The tour starts with a two miles jungle ride on a cart pulled by an electric jeep. On the way, another tour guide provided by the boat company will be giving people information about the subtropical rainforest, fauna and flora. At a certain point, there is an optional hiking trail (650 yards) with some stairs, one can also skip this trail and go directly to the pier by jeep. If one decides to walk in the forest, a tour guide will be guiding people in the jungle. At the end of the short walk, there is a kiosk with facilities and lockers. That is a lift (elevator) that is bringing people down to the pier. At the dock, the speed boat, zodiac or jet boat will start going upstream on the Iguassu River. As the boat arrives at the falls, stop for pictures. Later on, it approaches the falls. Be ready to get soaking wet under the three musketeers waterfalls. After several rides under the falls, they return to the pier from where people take the lift and the jeeps back to the starting point. Later on, transfer back to the hotel.
Dry boat at the falls during the winter: people wont get wet during the tour (depending on the water level) some waves would bring water inside the boat, splashes. The boat people require a minimum of people to make the dry boat depart. One must wait at the site until more people show up.
